Dear all,

I would like to thank the members of the musical team from Nepal for their brilliant 'Nepali Music' show at Ayer Hall of the University of Akron on June 5, 2004,Saturday. It was a privilege for all nepelese living in this area to participate and get tuned into the 3 hrs of fascinating nepali music. It really created an envrionment as though we were back in Nepal.

The team was comprised of top artists from our country with Deep Shrestha (Vocalist), Vijaya Vaidya (Sitarist), Antarikshya Sharma(Vocalist), Jyoti Ghimire (Guitarist), Rajendra Lal Karna (Tabla player), Gopal Deve Bishwokarma (Flute player) and Roshan Lal Joshi as the team manager.

I would also like to thank Mr.Deep Shrestha and Mr. Vijaya Vaidya specially for their few words regarding the background of the music and the natural and cultural heritage of our country. It was a great feeling to see the locals breaking into rapturous praise and interest as Mr. Shrestha and Mr. Vaidya mentioned about Mt. Everest, Nepal as the birth place of buddha, Nepal as a place of natural and cultural diversity life, and the importance and historical background of different nepali music, during the show. They have essentially played a role of Ambassador of Nepal with their candid musical talents. They have been successful in spreading a positive image of our country to the foriegn world. It is indeed a pride to all of us.

Also, big thanks and congratulations to Amodhji, Govindaji and Sujan ji for successfully organizing this musical event. We sincerely appreciate these guys' effort in turning this program into a big success in a very short period of time.
