Dashain Party 2004

Dear NAOO members,

Thank you for asking me to serve as the new President of NAOO. It was nice not to have to debate anyone in order to get the job – unlike some national elected offices!! Although I am busy with my new son Rohan, I will try to devote enough time to the tasks involved with running NAOO. As you know, our outgoing president Anand Tiwari did a great job during his term, and has moved to Cleveland, and is now doing a great job as ANMA president.

As our first order of business, the Dasai festival is coming soon, and it is time for a celebration. We need your support and presence to make this event successful.

Here are the tentative plans:
When: Saturday 23 Oct, 1:00 PM

Where: TBD, Columbus area

At this point we are considering reserving a picnic shelter in one of the Metro parks. Input on this is welcome.

What: Dasai meal:
Several dishes will be catered from an Indian restaurant. Our volunteers will provide other food, as well as drinks and utensils.

Who: All Nepali in Ohio are welcome to attend.
We especially encourage NAOO members to attend.

Cost: $15 per adult (age 12 and up).
No charge for children under 12.

Advance Registration and Payment is required.
Please email < yesh2@hotmail.com > no later than Saturday 16 Oct with name, phone #, email address, # of adults, # of children attending and confirm that you will send payment in advance by the due date.

Payment must be received by Monday 18 Oct. Please make checks payable to NAOO
