deepak musical night in columbus

On August 13, 2005, Saturday, Deepak Bajracharya rocked the Ohio Nepali Community.

Deepak is a famous Nepali singer who got his first public exposure in 1988 during a performance in City Hall in Kathmandu with his first song "chodi gayo priya". Since then he has recorded more than 250 songs. He has won several awards such as Album of the Year and Best Male Vocal Award. He also won the best music video award in 2000. Some of his popular tunes include "Kali Kali Hissi Pareki", "Oh Amira", "Katti Baschau Maitigharma". Although all of his songs are in Nepali, some songs have Latino flavors.

For his Columbus concert, Deepak was accompanied by Bijay Adhikary on guitar, Jeevan Goff on keyboard, Nischal Shrestha on bass and Rahul Valdes on drums. The local talents -- Puspa Joshi, Prem Thapa, Bimal Bhattachan, Yogendra Rawat and Robin Panday -- entertained the crowd as well.

The musical program started at 6:30 and went into the wee hours of the night. Momo, Aalo Ko Achar, Samosa were on sale at the venue.
