new year 2063 in columbus

Dear All:

Thanks to NAOO President Dr. Rupa Hamal for spending so much time into planning it and securing the venue and other logistics (Bob Schmidt for stereo help; Pramod Lama and Mayur Gauchan for musical equipments; Mary K. Rose for collection of monies), with help from various volunteers (decoration; alu/tama; achaar and so on), office bearers, and advisers.

Thanks also to all attending ANMA and/or executive committee members and/or advisers. In particular thanks goes to all Nepali community folks who came from far and near (Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dayton.....) and lend support to the event. It was good to see some new folks too.

Thanks to (not in a preferential order): Master of Ceremony (Rajesh Shah--also for fun activities); music/songs (Pramod Lama, Mayur Gauchan, Bimal Bhattachan); dances (were scintillating with one featuring Pramod Lama/Sushma Pandey; the other featuring Pragya/Moini/Karishma and Mayur/Yelamber/Dibyendra); 1974 song rendition (Dr. Niroula); jokes/Bansuri (Dr. Joshi); and interesting performance by two young ones: Ilesh Singh (song); Astha Singh (dance). Thanks also to Mukesh Singh who volunteered to help in a democratic process of election for President, three Vice Presidents (Executive/Advisory Committee would be decided by the elected folks) and requested to send in nominations within two weeks.

If we have forgotten to acknowledge anyone--we seek your forgiveness. Once again thanks to all--let us hope New Year 2063 brings us all peace, prosperity, and happiness and leads to an even extended community.
